Choosing a veterinarian for your pet is as important as choosing a pediatrician for your child. Our hospital provides a complete pet care program including preventive, clinical and diagnostic medicine, major and minor surgery, dentistry, and hospitalization. Boarding, grooming, baths and dips complete our package of services for your convience. Premium foods and prescription foods are available as well as vitamins, flea products and grooming aids. Dr. Lowell O. Henderson is a native Houstonian and has practiced in the Houston area since graduating from Texas A&M University. Dr.Henderson limits his practice to small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr.Henderson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. Our experienced and caring staff is available to provide your pet with quality health care.

Emergencies After office hours, please call the Katy Freeway Animal Emergency Clinic at 713-932-9589. A veterinarian is available 24 hours a day.

We have three examination rooms, a modern laboratory and x-ray facilities on site. Our records are completely computerized which allows us to notify our clients when pet vaccinations are due. We can also provide you with the necessary pet registration forms, rabies certificates, and international health certificates and informative pamphlets on a variety of pet care subjects.

Surgeries are done on an appointment basis. Animals should be admitted by 9:00 a.m. for preoperative procedures. Surgeries are performed between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. You will be given special instructions prior to the surgery depending on its nature.

Our Operating Room is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments in a sterile environment. Both minor and major surgery can be performed in our facility. After surgery, your pet is placed in the recovery room and constantly monitored.

Boarding Animals must be admitted and discharged during normal office hours. All animals must have current vaccinations or vaccine will be given when admitted. This is strictly enforced to assure protection to all our guests.

Our veterinarian supervisor prepares the meals, administers any necessary medicines and excercises our guests 3 times daily. We have separate boarding facilities for dogs and cats. All boarding animals are kept separate from animals requiring hospitalization.

An Isolation Ward is used to separate animals suspected of having an infectious disease.

Baths, Dips & Grooming are done in our bathing facility. Pets are brushed and combed to remove matted hair. They are bathed in medicated shampoo, dipped in a flea and tick preparation and given a conditioner for their coat if needed. They are carefully dried on our professional cage dryers and given a final brushing. Our professional groomer has over 30 years experience and can clip your pet by appointment.

Preventive Medicine is emphasized to promote the long and healthy life of your pet. Please take advantage of our programs ro routine vaccinations, heartworm prevention, worming, dental prophylaxis, geriatric care, flea control, and nutritional and behavioral guidance.
